This 6 year old, 6lb. sweetie was up for adoption on the bulletin board at my work and I talked my Mom into taking her home! It didn’t take long before she was acclimated to her new home, they’re doing really good together so far. Kitty is very affectionate and spends a lot of time sleeping (so does my Mom).

Here’s my first cat of 2016 and the 3rd cat I’ve met in the parking lot at my band’s practice space. they were very vocal, super affectionate and almost followed me into the building. They had quite the full belly, someone’s feeding them!

305. TiTi | Met on May 14th, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio

Dustin & Abigail got a new kitty! This VERY petite all black one year old was quite affectionate and spent most of the evening sitting on the dinning room table near everyone. She loves chewing on hair ties.

Emmet was sleepy but amicable when we met. He’s 15 years old and he’s Fat P’s (Cat 308) boyfriend. Chandra sent me the 2nd photo demonstrating Emmet’s favorite position… who doesn’t love a sitting cat?

308. Fat P | Met on May 27th, 2016 in Berea, Ohio

This petite polydactyl is Penelope (aka Fat P) and I met her on her 13th birthday! She’s got a total of 25 digits, 8 & 7 on her front paws and 5 on both hind paws. The last of Brandon & Chandra’s cats is 3 year old Minion. Chandra had to send me some photos because he hid from my camera right after I met him. Minion is a scaredy baby with a prescription for kitty Zoloft and he’s already used up 8 of his 9 lives.

310-314. Parking Lot Family | Met on June 23rd, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Momma cat and her four kittens live around the parking lot where my band practices. I was very surprised, they all came up to me and let me pick them up. I went to a convenient store and got them some food. I’m going to see what I can do about getting them to the APL.

Update: I came back to TNR them all and there was no sign of any of them. I hope someone took them to the shelter!

315. Chief | Met on July 19th, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Chief is my friend MJ’s big buddy and my girlfriend Jane gets to babysit him a lot. I’ve been trying to arrange a meeting for a while now and when we met he was too busy vigorously scarfing down his canned food feast to give me any of his attention.

316. Harry | Met on August 23rd, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

I’ve been following Harry’s Instagram #lilharrymane updates for a while now, and finally I got to meet the man. He’s a big boy with a thick coat and a chill personality, he posed for the camera with ease. Harry recently moved to Cleveland from NYC, he now lives with Django (Cat 200) and his tuxedo cat companion Sophie (Cat 317).

317. Sophie | Met on August 23rd, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Sophie was VERY apprehensive about coming out when I came over to meet her roommate Harry (Cat 316). I’ve tried to meet Sophie several times but she always ran and hid. I barely got to know her.

318. Sir | Met on August 25th, 2016 in Lakewood, Ohio

Cats 318-320 are a fantastically fluffy trio that all got adopted from the Avon Lake Animal Clinic by their Mom, Leah, who works at the clinic. Sir’s tail is super thick and fluffy and he was very sociable. Apparently, his weird fetish is… “if you scratch your butt anywhere in the apartment, he comes running”.

Age: 5 years
Nicknames: Sir Sir, Best Boy
Likes: His mangled felt ball (that only comes out under strict supervision), Plastic milk rings
Dislikes: Faz (Cat 319)

319. Faz | Met on August 25th, 2016 in Lakewood, Ohio

I was told that Faz is pretty shy around new people, but as is often the case with cats, Faz came out of hiding to interact with me.

Age: 11 years
Nickname: Fazzie
Likes: Her orange octopus toy, Pizza crust
Dislikes: Sir (Cat 318)

320. Torple | Met on August 25th, 2016 in Lakewood, Ohio

Nicknames: None yet

Dislikes: The vacuum

321-322. Driveway Cats | Met on August 13th, 2016 in Lakewood, Ohio

These two fall into my favorite cat combo category of a gray tiger and a black cat. They were hanging out next door to Bbob’s house. I tried to get closer but they took off.

323. Link | Met on September 17th, 2016 in Sheffield Lake, Ohio

Link lives next door to my Mom and he’s pretty adorable! He kept his distance from me but he sure does like to interact with Kitty (Cat 303) through the window.

324. Cat in Ross’s backyard | Met on October 26th, 2016 in University Hts., Ohio

Little sneaker.

325. Lumber Yard Cat | Met on November 1st, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

So far I’ve spotted two cats in the lumber yard next door to my band’s new practice space. The other one is super petite and adorable.

326. Elska | Met on November 12th, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Ash found Elska & Kylfu (Cat 327) three weeks ago in rural Pennsylvannia outside of Pittsburgh and had to bring them back home to Cleveland. Seriously, how could you not scoop up these two cuties! They both LOVE curling up in kitten blanket forts. Elska means “love” in Icelandic. She favors direct eye contact and keeps getting her claws stuck into everything. Elska would have stayed in the that truck fort all night if we let her. She fell asleep in my hands with ease after an hour of playtime.

Nicknames: Ursic, Babs

Dislikes: Strange noises, Shadowy figures, When Kylfu attacks

327. Kylfu | Met on November 12th, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Kylfu (pronounced key-voo) means “bat” in Icelandic. He’s a playful little guy that sometimes gets too rough with Elska. He enjoyed some playtime in between hiding under things, he wasn’t nearly as engaging as Elska. Shyness aside, I still fell in love because you all know how I feel about black kitties.

Nicknames: Babs (yes they both have the same nickname)
Likes: To be near you but not on you, Hair ties, Rough petting
Dislikes: Being held

328. The other lumber yard cat | Met on November 15th, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio

Oh my god this little baby. If I lived in a bigger place they would be home with me. So this is the other cat living in the lumber yard behind my band’s new practice space with Cat 325. As soon as I stepped out of the car they came running up and demanded attention. I bet they’re either a neighbor’s outdoor cat or they used to have a home. Someone’s been feeding them, I’m going to start bringing treats next week.

329. Mya | Met on December 14th, 2016 in Vermilion, Ohio

Mya lives with my Aunt Julie & Uncle Dale. She is very sweet and very playful, she offered some comfort on an otherwise tragic day. When she’s not sitting on her iPad, she loves to play her fishing game.

330. Porch Cat | Met on January 28th, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio

Pretty much sums it up.

331-332. Ronaldo (aka Kevin) & Roland | Met on March 17th, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois

Brett has been trying to make this meeting happen for a few months now, touting the size-able length of Natasha’s cat Roland (gray and white). Ronaldo (orange) and Roland are a playful pair, we had quite an active visit, we played with laser pointer collars and a tunnel tube. Roland seems to love being man-handled. I particularly liked Ronaldo’s orange patterns, he’s a very attractive little man.

333. Street Cat | Met on March 18th, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois

I saw this kitty on Brett’s block a few times over the weekend, they were always running away. #catsivemetonbrettsblock

334. Yard Cat | Met on March 25th, 2017 in Concord Township, Ohio

This little guy was picture perfect across the street from Jane’s house.

335-343. Photo Studio Kittens | Met on March 30th, 2017 in Westlake, Ohio

I swear there’s 9 kittens in there. One of the biggest perks of working next to a greeting card photo studio is that there’s always a lot of pets coming through to be photographed. This batch of kitties is from the CCLAS, they were being photographed with a gigantic Great Dane. It was pure delight to have some play time with these little babies!

Update: Cheryl from my department adopted two of them!

344-345. Daria &  Jane | Met on April 21st, 2017 in Lakewood, Ohio

Daria and Jane live with Andy & Tom. Daria was a busy body while I was over and barely let me get a picture that wasn’t blurry. Jane on the other hand, was very accommodating. We all know I’m partial to black cats but I must say this little darling is quite the catch.

346. Cat in Ron’s backyard  | Met on July 15th, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio

This cat hangs out in Ron’s backyard. I bet they have a home because they were pretty personable and looked clean and fed. But jeez they are not into Ron’s new dog, can’t say that I blame them 🙂

347. Bristles Marie Brenda | Met on August 10th, 2017 in Cleveland

Introducing Bristles! Jane saved him from a life of scrounging around East Cleveland after losing his mother and siblings. He transitioned into domestic life with ease, he’s a really good boy and a great cuddle cat. And Bristles is the perfect companion for Jane’s 5 year old daughter. She brought him overnight to meet Vesper & Bolton… Vesper ran and hid, Bolton just hissed a lot.

348. Freddie Fox | Met on August 22nd, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio

Freddie is the newest parking lot cat at Now That’s Class, and he was a BIG hit that night. Paul (upper right) is thinking about adding him to his family of cats.

349. Street Cat | Met on August 30th, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio

This little slinker criss-crossed my path several times while I was playing a gig at The Magalen. We got pretty close at the end of the night but I couldn’t get a better picture.

350-351. Oreo & Baby | Met on September 11th, 2017 in Amherst, Ohio

Oreo & Baby live with my Uncle Mark, Aunt Cherie & cousin Rochelle with one more kitty that was too shy to come say hi. Both of them were very welcoming, although Baby wouldn’t stay still long enough to get a decent picture of his luxurious Russian blue coat.

352. Gracie | Met on October 2nd, 2017 in Amherst, Ohio

This petite little miss lives with my Aunt Cindy & Uncle Paul. I only got to spend a few moments with this sweet little loaf.

353. Thunder | Met on November 10th, 2017 in Lakewood, Ohio

I’ve been waiting quite a while for the opportunity to meet Thunder, and she was totally worth the wait. First off, Thunder was instantly a top ten favorite cat. She is very social and has a distinctly confident personality. Secondly, these photos don’t do her justice, she’s so adorably petite. What a beautiful little bear, you’re a lucky man Andy Plank!

354. Street Cat | Met on November 25th, 2017 in Chicago, Illinois

I spotted this cat earlier in the day, we crossed paths again later that night. I also saw Cat 333 again just down the block. #catsivemetonbrettsblock

355. Yard Cat | Met on December 2nd, 2017 in Mentor, Ohio

Drive by spotting. This cat roams through Jane’s parent’s backyard from time to time.

I saw a cat walking away from the house party I was at.

357. Polydactyl on my parent’s back porch | Met on February 13th, 2018 in Lorain, Ohio

I think this is only the 3rd polydactyl on the site. My Dad doesn’t like this kitty hanging around on the porch, I convinced him not to shoo them away this time. He looked pretty clean, I bet they have a home in the neighborhood.

358-359. Avalon & Jackie Chan | Met on February 23rd, 2018 in Lakewood, Ohio

Amanda & Mitch have been trying to get me to meet their new cats for at least a year now. These two sleek gray siblings are 18 months old and they’re quite a gorgeous pair. Avalon (on left) was engaging and followed me around the house. Jackie (on right) was wide eyed and interested but he kept his distance, Amanda said he’s been “getting muscly lately”. Collectively their nickname is “Gatos Gris”.

Yet another neighborhood cat that I’ve seen a couple of times before.

362. Orange Boi aka Garnfeld | Met on Mat 5th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

Every year there’s a new cat or two at the building where my band practices. This year, this little boy is hanging around on the porches and on the window sills outside of the rooms. He cries and cries and cries and cries and cries. He’s got a few people feeding him (including me) and so far he’s got two names, I call him Orange Boi, Adam calls him Garnfeld. Orange Boi is super friendly, he really seems like he’s ready for his forever home.

363. Driveway Cat | Met on May 24th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

Yet another neighborhood cat.

364. Bonnie | Met on May 25th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

I’ve been hearing about Bonnie (and her brother Charlie) for a while now. Today she had to go to the vet so her caretaker, Allison, brought her into work in her bubble backpack! This was her 3rd time out in the bubble, she seemed to like it but was also pretty moody after a morning at the vet. Bonnie is a very petite (6lbs. 7oz. to be exact) indoor / outdoor cat who’s killed a few birds in the backyard much to Allison’s dismay. After a quick visit in our department, Allison took Bonnie upstairs for a Puppachino at Starbucks. It was such a delight to meet Bonnie!

Born: October 3rd, 2012
Nicknames: Banana, Bonzi, Bonzzz, Bees, Bennet (when she’s in trouble)
Likes: Hand knit catnip toys, Treats (not the organic kind though), Killing bugs & mice (she’s killed 4 mice to date), Boys
Dislikes: Catfood with grains, Allison’s sister Michelle, Loud noises, The vet

365. Elusive Church Cat | Met on Friday May 25th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

I’ve been having a lot of near misses lately with some very skittish kitties, here’s one… My band played a show at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ohio City where I noticed a litter box and proceeded to go on the hunt to meet the church cat. Towards the end of the night I turned on the lights in a back room and came face to face with a little calico who immediately took off through a hole in floor.

366-367. Rictus & Ferguson | Met on June 5th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

What we have here are two scaredy cats. I saw Rictus through the porch door, he ran away when I opened it. I have a sneaking suspicion he’s actually Cat 356. Then, as I was leaving the house I caught Ferguson on the kitchen counter, he stayed just long enough to get a photo before darting away.

368. Window Cat | Met on June 14th, 2018 in Lakewood, Ohio

Drive by sighting a few blocks from home.

369-370. Monster & Selgi | Met on June 30th in Grand Rapids, Michigan

After playing a gig I was chauffeured away by Kat & Shane to Kat’s house where I met these two beauties who live with Watson the dog. To be honest I only half remember meeting them, I was pretty lit after the show but I did get to spend a little time with Selgi.

371 Gunter | Met on July 11th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

Gunter is the current porch cat at The Yellow House. He was pretty sleepy and pretty friendly.

372-373. Driveway Cats | Met on July 28th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

I saw these two lounging around Slavic Village. Jane said she saw a bunch more cats in this yard earlier in the day.

374. Garden Cat | Met on July 28th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

This little fella is likely related to Bristles (Cat 347). He was very skittish, we’re lucky we noticed him at all. We couldn’t find the rest of the feral litter.

375. Meanie | Met on July 31st, 2018 in Cleveland Hts., Ohio

Meanie lives in the backyard of my old house where my landlady Ilze and I used to care for and TNR a number of neighborhood cats. Ilze calls him Meanie because he’s so mean to her. He was pretty friendly with me but hissed when I picked him up.

376. Scylia | Met on August 7th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

Scylia lives at The Yellow House on the other side of the glass from Gunter (Cat 371). We spent a few moments together, they were very nice.

377. Max | Met on August 29th, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio

I fed Max while his humans were out of town. He was more interested in his canned food than he was in me.

378-379. Amelia’s neighborhood cats | Met on October 5th, 2018 in Rockland, Maine

I spotted two cats patrolling the neighborhood near Lermond Cove while visiting my friend Amelia in Maine.
